Building confidence, independence, and strong study habits

Our online lower secondary school supports students as they move into a more independent stage of learning, while still providing structure, guidance, and teacher support. Lessons are live and teacher-led, with clear routines that help students stay organised, motivated, and confident.

Our Years 7-9 curriculum follows Key Stage 3 and is designed to build strong subject knowledge while helping students develop the skills, they will need for GCSE study. Alongside core subjects, students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and become more confident learners.

How We Teach

A typical day in Key Stage 3

Lower secondary students follow a clear timetable of live lessons, with planned breaks across the day. Lessons are slightly longer and more subject-focused, helping students build concentration and prepare for the pace of GCSE learning.

The day includes a balance of academic lessons, clubs, and independent study or homework time, supporting both learning and routine.

The support behind every school day

The lower secondary years are about building confidence, independence, and readiness for what comes next. These are the key areas that help students stay engaged, supported, and on track.

Menu Secondary

Small class sizes that keep students involved

Lessons are live and discussion-based, giving students regular opportunities to ask questions, share ideas, and take part in class. Teachers encourage participation while helping students grow in confidence and develop their voice in a supportive setting. Small class sizes mean teachers can give individual attention and keep a close eye on progress.

Building strong foundations for GCSEs

Key Stage 3 learning is structured to prepare students for GCSE expectations. Study skills, organisation, and subject foundations are built gradually, helping students feel ready and confident when they reach Year 10. Students also receive guidance from advisors as they begin thinking about future GCSE subject choices, so decisions are informed and well supported.

Progress at the right pace

High-achieving students can be stretched further, with opportunities to move ahead where appropriate. This may include progressing more quickly through content or preparing early for GCSE-level study, while still receiving guidance and support.

The full British Curriculum

Our Key Stage 3 curriculum follows the UK national curriculum and provides broad, balanced subject coverage to support future GCSE study.
