What Students Study

Study International GCSE English Language Online

International GCSE aims to extend studentsโ€™ knowledge by broadening and deepening skills. Students will develop their ability to read and respond to material from a variety of sources. Students will make comparisons between texts and analyse the ways in which writers achieve their effects, construct and convey meaning in written language, matching style to audience and purpose. Choice of a 100% external assessment, or a 60% external examination and 40% internal non-examined assessment option. Students may also complete the optional Spoken Language Endorsement. Students must submit their non-examined assessment (NEA) and complete the exam in May/June in the year of certification. The GCSE French, Spanish, Turkish or Russian is a two-year program. During the two years of studies, students will have access to live online classes as well as they will have academic mentor support and, one to one subject support. Progression to International GCSE qualifications enable successful progression onto A level and beyond. Students whose English is not their first language, are required to either sit an internal English assessment or provide an English certificate at a min level B2 in all components.

Course Details
