How it works

Flexible online homeschooling programme

Students attend live lessons online, take part in class, ask questions and get regular feedback. The school follows the British curriculum and teaches from Year 4 through to Year 13, covering everything from primary through to A Level.

Parents can track progress through the school's learning platform - attendance, grades, teacher feedback and reports are all visible throughout the year. If a lesson is missed without notice, the school gets in touch.

A fresh start

When school hasn't worked out

Some students come to Oxford Online School after difficult experiences - including bullying, anxiety, or disengagement in traditional school environments. Online learning can offer a calmer, more focused space where students rebuild confidence and reconnect with their education at their own pace.

Learning on your terms

Flexibility for every family

Families choose online school for all kinds of reasons - health or wellbeing considerations, dual educational pathways, religious or cultural commitments, or simply a different approach to learning. Whatever the circumstances, the structured timetable adapts to real family life.

  • Home educators looking for more formal, teacher-led structure
  • International and expat families who want a British curriculum online
  • Students juggling school with sport, performing arts or frequent travel
  • Families who want smaller classes and more individual attention

Why Oxford Online School

What makes us different

We are not a tutoring platform or a self-study library. Oxford Online School is a real school - with qualified teachers, a set timetable and the kind of structure that helps students make genuine progress.

Live lessons, every day

Students attend real lessons with a qualified teacher, not pre-recorded videos. Every session is live, interactive and part of a set timetable.

Small classes

Classes typically have around 10 students, with a maximum of 12 to 15. That means more teacher attention, more opportunities to contribute and less chance of anyone falling behind unnoticed.

Full parent visibility

Parents can follow attendance, grades, teacher feedback and progress reports through the school's learning platform throughout the year.

British curriculum

We teach the British curriculum online, making it accessible for families in the UK and internationally - wherever they are based.

Pastoral support

Students have access to academic mentoring and pastoral care alongside their lessons. Support is built into the school experience, not bolted on.

Recognised qualifications

Students work towards internationally recognised qualifications including IGCSE and A Levels, with structured exam preparation included.
