Who it's for

Designed for high-performing, motivated students, aged 11-18

Our scholarships are open to students applying to our Secondary, GCSE or A-Level programmes who:

Demonstrate excellence and potential

Students should be able to demonstrate outstanding achievement, talent or potential in their chosen scholarship area, whether academics, sport, performing arts or the arts. Evidence may come through previous accomplishments, assessments, portfolios, performances, competition results, references or the admissions process, forming a key part of how scholarship suitability is assessed.

Aimed at motivated and commited students

The scholarship programme is for motivated, dedicated students eager to excel in their chosen field. Applicants should submit a thoughtful application with evidence of their achievements, experience or potential in academics, sport, performing arts or the arts. This helps ensure scholarships are awarded fairly to students who will make the most of them.

The process

Our scholarship process explained

All steps are part of the standard admissions process and help us ensure scholarships go to students who can thrive here.

Register with us

All scholarship candidates must first be registered with Oxford Online School before moving forward with the scholarship process. Registration is the starting point for application.

Sit the scholarship entrance test

Applicants are required to sit an online test to demonstrate that they can benefit from the academic opportunities at Oxford Online School. This forms a key part of the assessment process.

Attend an academic interview

Students applying for a scholarship are also required to attend an interview with the academic team. This gives the school a chance to assess suitability in more depth.

Submit a confidential reference

Parents complete the scholarship application and pass it to the head of the student's current school to provide a confidential reference. This supports the school's final scholarship decision.

Quick tip

Application Guidance

Prepare early by gathering your recent academic information, speaking to your current school about the confidential reference, and allowing time to prepare for the entrance test and interview. A strong application is usually supported by good preparation at each stage.
