3

Start the trial

We’ll confirm your trial dates and send login details and the timetable for the week. Your child then joins their lessons live, as a member of the class.

How it works

What happens during your trial week

Our one-week trial allows your child to join real lessons at Oxford Online School before you decide whether to enrol. This is what the week would look like:

A week of live lessons

Your child attends a week of lessons, meets their teachers and gets a feel for the classroom before you commit.

Real timetabled classes

During the trial, your child joins real timetabled lessons with their class group.

See how the school day works

You’ll see how lessons are structured, how the day flows and how our learning platform is used for classwork and homework.

Time to ask questions

The admissions team is available throughout the week, so you can ask questions as they come up rather than all at once.

Assessment

Helping families and the school make an informed decision

It allows families to assess fit in practice, while helping our team determine whether we can support the student effectively online.

Families assessment

Families

Families use the trial to answer the questions a website can’t:

  • Is my child comfortable learning online?
  • Are the pace of lessons and teaching style right for them?
  • Does the timetable work for our family?
  • Is Oxford Online the right academic and pastoral fit?
School assessment

School

During the trial, our teachers look at:

  • How your child engages in live lessons
  • How comfortably they take part in an online classroom
  • Whether they’re ready for the year group or level applied for
  • Whether we can give them the support they need

Quick tip

Joining from another country or time zone?

Mention where you’re based when you book your call. We’ll check which classes and timetable options work for your time zone before the trial starts, so your child joins lessons at a time that’s realistic for them.
