Course Description
Chemistry plays a role in everyone’s life and touches almost every aspect of our existence in some way. Most of what we use today owes its evolution in some way to the study of Chemistry. It is often referred to as the central science because it joins together physics, mathematics, biology and medicine, in other words, the earth and environmental sciences. In our programme, students will develop their knowledge and understanding of chemistry by applying the learned concepts to a range of different situations, both practical and theoretical, set in a variety of contexts.

Assessment
Examination based. Assessment will take place either at a British Council office or an approved Edexcel Centre in your home country.

Course Duration
International A-level in Chemistry is a two-year program. During the two years of studies, students will have access to live online classes as well as they will have academic mentor support and, one to one subject support.
Course Outcome
Upon completion of the international A-level in Chemistry, students will achieve an Edexcel qualification ( providing that all exams have been completed and passed). The final certificate will allow students to apply to their chosen university. Students completing International A-Levels in chemistry frequently progress into degree courses in medicine, biotechnology, life-science, geology, veterinary medicine etc.
Entry requirements
- Students are required to sit an internal math assessment. This will help tutors to have knowledge of the student’s abilities in the subject.
- Hold GCSE Maths or equivalent.
- Students whose English is not their first language, are required to either sit an internal English assessment or provide an English certificate at a min level B2 in all components.

How many hours a week are students expected to study?
Students are required to undertake 5 hours of self-study per subject. In addition, students will also be required to attend 2 hours of live lessons per subjects
